The fruit of
the Spirit is joy. |
OY in the Holy
Spirit.-- Joy inexpressible and full of glory. Sorrowful, yet always
rejoicing ...overflowing with joy in all our affliction.--We we also exult
in our tribulations.
Jesus the Author
and Perfector of our faith...for the joy set before him endured the cross,
despising the shame -- These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be
in you, and that your joy may be made full.-- As the sufferings of Christ
are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.
Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice --The joy of the
LORD is your strength.
In Thy presence is
fulness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.--For the
Lamb in the center of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide
them to springs of the water of life; and God shall wipe every tear from
their eyes.

Jehovah Shalom: The LORD our peace |
EHOLD, a son shall
be born to to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from
all his enemies on every side; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will
give peace and quiet to Israel in his days.
Behold, behold, something greater than Solomon is here.--For a child
will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest
on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty
God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.-- My people will live in a peaceful
habitation, and in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places and it
will hail when the forest comes down, and the city will be utterly laid low.
He Himself is our
peace.--This One will be our peace when the Assyrian invades our land
These will wage
war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of
lords and King of kings
Peace I leave with
you; My peace I give to you

If you return to the LORD with all your heart,
remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct
your hearts to the LORD and serve Him alone. |
ITTLE children, guard
yourselves from idols.--Come out from their midst and be separate, says the
Lord, and do not touch what is unclean and I will welcome you, and I will be
a Father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord
Almighty.--You cannot serve God and mammon.
You shall not
worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous
God-- Serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches
all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts.
Behold, Thou dost
desire truth in the innermost being, and in the hidden part Thou wilt make
me know wisdom.--Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at
the heart.-- Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence
before God.

When the Son of Man comes,
will He find faith on
the earth? |
E came to His own,
and those who were His own did not receive Him -- The Spirit explicitly
says that in later times some will fall away from the faith.
Preach the word;
be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great
patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure
sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate
for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn
away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths.
Of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor
the Son, but the Father alone. Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not
know when the appointed time is.
-- Blessed are those slaves whom the master shall find on the alert when he
comes -- Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our
great God and Savior, Christ Jesus

Do not let this one fact escape your notice,
beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a
thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as
some count slowness |
Y thoughts are not
your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the LORD. For as the
heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and
My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from
heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth, and making it
bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so
shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth. It shall not return to Me
empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the
matter for which I sent it.
God has shut up all in disobedience that He might
show mercy to all. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and
knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His
ways!

You were like a firebrand snatched from a blaze. |
inners in Zion are
terrified; trembling has seized the godless. Who among us can live with the
consuming fire? Who among us can live with continual burning? -- We
had the sentence of death within ourselves in order that we should not trust
in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; Who delivered us from so great
a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on Whom we have set our hope. And
He will yet deliver us -- The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
It
is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.--Therefore
knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men.
Be
ready in season and out of season -- Save others, snatching them out of the
fire.
Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.-- Who
desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last |
OU have not come to a

all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect and to Jesus, the
mediator of a new covenant. -- Jesus the Author and

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. |
E anxious for
nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let
your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses
all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Thou didst know my path.--He knows the way I
take: When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.--Lord, Thou hast
been our dwelling place in all generations.-- Thou hast been a defense for
the helpless, a defense for the needy in his distress, a refuge from the
storm, a shade from the heat.
Who is a rock, except our God? --they shall never
perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.--Sustain me according
to Thy word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope.--This
hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and
one which enters within the veil

Jesus the Author and Perfecter of faith |
AM the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God, Who is and Who was and Who is
to come, the Almighty..-- Who has performed and accomplished it, calling
forth the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD, am the first, and
with the last. I am He.
To those who are the called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus
Christ:
The God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul
and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to
pass. -- He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of
Christ Jesus. --Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now
being perfected by the flesh? --The LORD will accomplish what concerns me.
It it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good
pleasure.

He always lives to make intercession for them |
HO is the one who
condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at
the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. -- Christ did not enter a
holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven
itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us
If anyone
sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.--
There is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
Since then we have
a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God
let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot
sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things
as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with confidence to
the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in
time of need. --Through through Him we... have our access in one Spirit to

The Prince of Peace.--He

God through our Lord Jesus Christ
The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is

As sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet
making many rich, as having nothing yet possessing all things. |
E we exult in hope
of the glory of God. And not only this, but we also exult in our
tribulations --I am overflowing with joy in all our affliction.-- Though you
do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy
inexpressible and full of glory
In
in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep
poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality.--To me, the very least
of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the
unfathomable riches of Christ, and to bring to light what is the
administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who
created all things
Did
not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the
kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?--God is able to make all
grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you
may have an abundance for every good deed

The LORD will sustain him upon his sickbed; In

therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ
may dwell in me.--I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
We do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner
man is being renewed day by day.
In
in Him we live and move and exist.--He gives strength to the weary, and to
him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired,
and vigorous young men stumble badly yet those who wait for the LORD will
gain new strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run
and not get tired. They will walk and not become weary --The eternal God is
a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms;

in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the

from Me you can do nothing -- The wishing is present in me, but the doing of
the good is not.-- To each one of us grace was given according to the

When there are many words, transgression is

brethren.... let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.--He
who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit,

Christ... suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His
steps, WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH and while

only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things,
can never by the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually,
make perfect those who draw near. Otherwise, would they not have ceased to
be offered. -- Through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things,
from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.
Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also
partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who
had the power of death, that is, the devil and might deliver those who
through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. For assuredly
He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant of
Abraham. Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, that
He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to
God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

All have sinned & fall short of the glory of God |
HERE
IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE... THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT
EVEN ONE.-- There is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good
and who never sins. -- How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be
clean who is born of woman?
Let us fear lest, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of
you should seem to have come short of it.
I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever
before me. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother
conceived me.
The LORD... has taken away your sin; you shall not die. -- whom He
justified, these He also glorified.-- We all, with unveiled face beholding
as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same
image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. -- If indeed
you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved
away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard.
Walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and
glory.

Honor the LORD from your wealth, and from the
first of all your produce |
E who sows sparingly
shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap
bountifully --On the first day of every week let each one of you put aside
and save, as he may prosper.
God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have
shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the
saints.
I urge you... brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a
living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual
service of worship.--The the love of Christ controls us, having concluded
this, that one died for all, therefore all died and He died for all, that
they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and
rose again on their behalf. --Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever
you do, do all to the glory of God.

There shall be no night there. |
OU will have the LORD
for an everlasting light, and your God for your glory.
The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine upon it, for the
glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.--They shall not
have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord
God shall illumine them.
You are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's
OWN POSSESSION, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called
you out of darkness into His marvelous light -- Giving thanks to the Father,
who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light for
He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the
kingdom of His beloved Son.-- You were formerly darkness, but now you are
light in the Lord; walk as children of light
We are not of night nor of darkness.
The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter
and brighter until the full day.
