Though you have
not seen Him, you love Him |
E
walk by faith,
not by sight.-- We love because He first loved us.--And we have come to know
and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one
who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. -- In Him you also
trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in
whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise --
God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery
among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
If someone says, I love God and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one
who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has
not seen.
Jesus said to him, because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are
they who did not see, and yet believed. -- How blessed are all who take
refuge in Him! -- Trust in the LORD forever, for in GOD the LORD, we have an
everlasting Rock -- And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies
himself, just as He is pure.

Jehovah tsidkenu:
THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS |
LL
of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are
like a filthy garment.
I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord
GOD. I will make mention of Thy righteousness, Thine alone -- I will rejoice
greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God for He has clothed me with
garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a
bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with
her jewels.
Bring out the best robe and put it on -- To her to
clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean for the fine linen is the
righteous acts of the saints.
I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing
value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord...in order that I may gain Christ and
may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the
Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which
comes from God on the basis of faith -- He made Him who knew no sin to be
sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Oh that Thou wouldst...keep me from harm |
HY
are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation --
Keep watching and praying...the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Two things I asked of Thee, do not refuse me before I
die: keep deception and lies far from me, give me neither poverty nor
riches; feed me with the food that is my portion, lest I be full and deny
Thee and say, Who is the LORD? Or lest I be in want and steal, and profane
the name of my God.
The LORD will protect you from all evil. He will
keep your soul -- I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, and I will
redeem you from the grasp of the violent -- He Who was born of God keeps him
and the evil one does not touch him.
Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I
also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to
come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth -- Many
are the afflictions of the righteous but the LORD delivers him out of them
all -- The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation.

the way they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest.
And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them: If anyone wants to
be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all -- clothe yourselves
with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives
grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of
God that He may exalt you at the proper time.
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also
in Christ Jesus, Who...emptied Himself taking the form of a bond-servant and
being made in the likeness of men -- Therefore also God highly exalted Him
and bestowed on Him the Name which is above every name that at the Name of
Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and
under the earth.
The path of the righteous is like the light of
dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day -- and those who
have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of
heaven and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever
and ever -- Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of
their Father.

much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing -- I can do all things
through Him who strengthens me -- strong in the Lord, and in the strength of

eyes are upon the ways of a man, And He sees all his steps. There is no
darkness or deep shadow Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves --
Can a man hide himself in hiding places, So I do not see him? Do I not fill
the heavens and the earth? declares the LORD.
You will not be afraid of the terror by night...of the
pestilence that stalks in darkness...For you have made the LORD, my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, Nor will
any plague come near your tent -- He that keeps you will not slumber.--The
LORD is your keeper. The LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun will
not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will protect you from

if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they
would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better
country, that is a heavenly one...choosing rather to endure ill-treatment
with the people of God, than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin;
considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of
Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. -- My righteous one shall live by
faith and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not
of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the
preserving of the soul -- No one, after putting his hand to the plow and
looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
May it never be that I should boast, except in
the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been
crucified to me, and I to the world -- Come out from their midst and be
separate says the Lord. And do not touch what is unclean and I will welcome

the day that you eat from it you shall surely die --She took from its fruit
and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.
The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord -- If by the transgression of
the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the
abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life
through the One, Jesus Christ -- Since by a man came death, by a Man also
came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ
all shall be made alive -- Our Savior Christ Jesus, Who abolished death and
brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His
Son. He who has the Son has the life. He who does not have the Son of God
does not have the life -- For God did not send the Son into the world to
judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.

must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be
recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done,
whether good or bad -- Therefore also we have as our ambition, whether at
home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. -- Each one of us shall give account
of himself to God -- Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE
FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father -- Who will bring a charge
against God's elect? God is the One Who justifies. Who is the one who
condemns? Christ Jesus is He Who died, yes, rather Who was raised, Who is at
the right hand of God, Who also intercedes for us -- since He always lives
to make intercession -- There is one God, and one Mediator also between God
and men the Man Christ Jesus. -- There is therefore now no condemnation for
those who are in Christ Jesus.
When we are judged, we are disciplined by the

disciplines us for our good, that we may share His holiness.

know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for
your sake He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich --
Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.
That in the ages to come He might show the
surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by
grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is
the gift of God not as a result of works, that no one should boast --
knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through
faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be
justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the
works of the Law shall no flesh be justified -- He saved us...according to
His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior that being
justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of
eternal life.

Morning comes but also night. If you would inquire, inquire; come back

I am the light of the world.-- I will give him the
morning star.
Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know
when the appointed time is. It is like a man, away on a journey, who upon

his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert. Therefore, be
on the alert-- for you do not know when the master of the house is coming,

compassion for them |
ESUS
Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever. -- We do not have a
high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One Who has been
tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin -- He can deal gently with
the ignorant and misguided -- He came and found them sleeping, and
said to Peter, Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?
Keep watching and praying, that you may not come into temptation; the spirit
is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the
LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. For He Himself knows our frame.
He is mindful that we are but dust.
Thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth. Turn to me, and be
gracious to me. Oh grant Thy strength to Thy servant, and save the son of

are the dead who die in the Lord... they may rest from their labors, for
their deeds follow with them -- There the wicked cease from raging, And
there the weary are at rest -- Samuel said to Saul, Why have you disturbed

Whatever your hand finds to do, verily, do it
with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or
wisdom in Sheol where you are going-- The dead do not praise the LORD, nor
do any who go down into silence.
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering,
and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have
finished the course, I have kept the faith in the future there is laid up
for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will
award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved

they were, and Thou gavest them to Me, and they have kept Thy word. I ask on
their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom Thou
hast given Me; for they are Thine and all things that are Mine are Thine,
and Thine are Mine; and I have been glorified in them. Father I desire that
they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that
they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me
before the foundation of the world.
I will come again, and receive you to Myself that
where I am, there you may be also.-- He comes to be glorified in His saints
on that day and to be marveled at among all who have believed -- We who are
alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet
the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord -- You will
also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem in the
hand of your God.

I pray Thee, show me Thy glory |
OD,
Who said Light shall shine out of darkness is the One who has shone in our
hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of
Christ. --Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory,
glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth....No
man has seen God at any time; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of
the Father, He has explained Him.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall
I come and appear before God? -- When Thou didst say, Seek My face my heart
said to Thee, Thy face, O LORD, I shall seek.
We all, with unveiled face beholding as in
a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image
from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit -- Father, I desire
that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order
that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love
Me before the foundation of the world.

On that which resembled a throne, high up, was a
figure with the appearance of a man. |
HE man Christ
Jesus.--Made in the likeness of men . . . found in appearance as a
man.-- Since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also
partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who
had the power of death, that is, the devil.
I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am
alive forevermore -- Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to
die again; death no longer is master over Him. For the death that He died,
He died to sin, once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God --
"What then if you should behold the Son of Man ascending where He was before?--
He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the
heavenly places -- In Him all the fulness of Deity dwells in bodily form.
For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He
lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we shall
live with Him because of the power of God

HE
first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL. The last Adam became a life-giving
spirit.
As the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to
the Son also to have life in Himself -- I am the resurrection and the life;
he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and
believes in Me shall never die.
In Him was life; and the life was the light of men...
as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of
God, even to those who believe in His name who were born not of blood, nor
of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh
profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life --
the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword,
and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and
marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to
fulfill all righteousness |

DELIGHT to do
Thy will, O my God. Thy Law is within my heart.
Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or
the Prophets. I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. For truly I say to
you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke
shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished.--The LORD was
pleased for His righteousness' sake To make the law great and glorious.--
Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you
shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.
What the Law could not do, weak as it was through the
flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as
an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the
requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according
to the flesh, but according to the Spirit -- Christ is the end of the law
for righteousness to everyone who believes.

I am your

have I in heaven but Thee? And besides Thee, I desire nothing on earth. My
flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my
portion forever.--The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. Thou
dost support my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a
goodly heritage. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Indeed, my
heritage is beautiful to me.
The LORD is my portion says my soul Therefore I
have hope in Him.
I have inherited Thy testimonies forever, for
they are the joy of my heart.
O God, Thou art my God; I shall seek Thee
earnestly. My soul thirsts for Thee, my flesh yearns for Thee, in a dry and
weary land where there is no water...for Thou hast been my help, and in the
shadow of Thy wings I sing for joy.
My beloved is mine, and I am His.

Who can say, I have cleansed my heart? |
HE LORD
looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, to see if there are any who
understand, who seek after God. They have all turned aside, together they
have become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one.--Those who
are in the flesh cannot please God.
The wishing is present in me, but the doing of the good
is not. For the good that I wish, I do not do; but I practice the very evil
that I do not wish. -- All of us have become like one who is unclean, and
all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment and all of us wither like
a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
The Scripture has shut up all men under sin, that the
promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe -- That
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their
trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of
reconciliation.
If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving
ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
