FEBRUARY 1, MORNING FEBRUARY 1, EVENING

Though you have not seen Him, you love Him

WE walk by faith, not by sight.-- We love because He first loved us.--And we have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. -- In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise -- God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
If someone says, I love God and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
Jesus said to him, because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed. -- How blessed are all who take refuge in Him! -- Trust in the LORD forever, for in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock -- And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Jehovah tsidkenu:
THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

ALL of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment.
I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD. I will make mention of Thy righteousness, Thine alone -- I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Bring out the best robe and put it on -- To her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord...in order that I may gain Christ and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith -- He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

FEBRUARY 2, MORNING FEBRUARY 2, EVENING

Oh that Thou wouldst...keep me from harm

WHY are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation -- Keep watching and praying...the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Two things I asked of Thee, do not refuse me before I die: keep deception and lies far from me, give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is my portion, lest I be full and deny Thee and say, Who is the LORD? Or lest I be in want and steal, and profane the name of my God.
The LORD will protect you from all evil. He will keep your soul -- I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you from the grasp of the violent -- He Who was born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him.
Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth -- Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the LORD delivers him out of them all  -- The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation.

One star differs from another star in glory

ON the way they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest. And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them: If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all -- clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you at the proper time.
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, Who...emptied Himself taking the form of a bond-servant and being made in the likeness of men -- Therefore also God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the Name which is above every name that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day -- and those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever -- Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.

FEBRUARY 3, MORNING FEBRUARY 3, EVENING

Take courage...and work for I am with you says the LORD of hosts.

I AM the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing -- I can do all things through Him who strengthens me -- strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might -- The joy of the LORD is your strength.
Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'Let your hands be strong, you who are listening in these days to these words from the mouth of the prophets -- Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart Take courage, fear not -- The LORD looked at him and said, "Go in this your strength.
If God is for us, who is against us? -- Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart,
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary -- thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The darkness is not dark to Thee

HIS eyes are upon the ways of a man, And He sees all his steps. There is no darkness or deep shadow Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves -- Can a man hide himself in hiding places, So I do not see him? Do I not fill the heavens and the earth? declares the LORD.
You will not be afraid of the terror by night...of the pestilence that stalks in darkness...For you have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent -- He that keeps you will not slumber.--The LORD is your keeper. The LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will protect you from all evil.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

FEBRUARY 4, MORNING FEBRUARY 4, EVENING

The LORD has said to you,
You shall never again return that way.

TRULY if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is a heavenly one...choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin;
considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. -- My righteous one shall live by faith and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul -- No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
May it never be that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world -- Come out from their midst and be separate says the Lord. And do not touch what is unclean and I will welcome you.
He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

They tell of the pain of those whom Thou hast wounded.

I WAS only a little angry, they furthered the disaster. -- Brethren, even if a man is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, lest you too be tempted.
Let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins. -- Encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with all men.
Let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this-- not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way. -- We who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves.
Love...does not rejoice in unrighteousness. -- Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

FEBRUARY 5, MORNING FEBRUARY 5, EVENING

I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.

IN the day that you eat from it you shall surely die --She took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.
The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord -- If by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ -- Since by a man came death, by a Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive -- Our Savior Christ Jesus, Who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life. He who does not have the Son of God does not have the life -- For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.

The judgment seat

WE must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad -- Therefore also we have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. -- Each one of us shall give account of himself to God -- Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father -- Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the One Who justifies. Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He Who died, yes, rather Who was raised, Who is at the right hand of God, Who also intercedes for us -- since He always lives to make intercession -- There is one God, and one Mediator also between God and men the Man Christ Jesus. -- There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
When we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord in order that we may not be condemned along with the world.-- He disciplines us for our good, that we may share His holiness.

FEBRUARY 6, MORNING FEBRUARY 6, EVENING

The grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.

YOU know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich -- Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.
That in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God not as a result of works, that no one should boast -- knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified -- He saved us...according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

1Ti 1.14. 2Co 8.9.--Ro. 5.20.
Ep. 2.7, 9.--Gal. 2.16.--Titus 3.5, 4, 5, 6, 7.

I am . . . the bright morning star.

A STAR shall come forth from Jacob. -- The night is almost gone and the day is at hand. Let us therefore lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. -- Until the day breaks And the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be like a gazelle or a young stag upon the mountains of Bether.
Watchman, how far gone is the night? The watchman says, Morning comes but also night. If you would inquire, inquire; come back again.
I am the light of the world.-- I will give him the morning star.
Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time is. It is like a man, away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert. Therefore, be on the alert-- for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, at cockcrowing, or in the morning-- lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all, 'Be on the alert!

FEBRUARY 7, MORNING FEBRUARY 7, EVENING

When you have eaten and are satisfied, you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you

BEWARE lest you forget the LORD your God -- One of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answered and said, Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine-- where are they? Was no one found who turned back to give glory to God, except this foreigner?

Everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer -- He who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God -- The blessing of the LORD that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.
Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion.

Jesus . . . felt compassion for them

JESUS
Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever. -- We do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One Who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin -- He can deal gently with the ignorant and misguided --  He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? Keep watching and praying, that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. For He Himself knows our frame. He is mindful that we are but dust.
Thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth. Turn to me, and be gracious to me. Oh grant Thy strength to Thy servant, and save the son of Thy handmaid.

No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing but I have called you friends

THE the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? -- To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted -- God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. -- The hidden wisdom, which God predestined before the ages to our glory.
Blessed is the one whom thou dost choose, and bring near to Thee, to dwell in Thy courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house, Thy holy temple -- The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant -- I have given to them; and they received them, and truly understood that I came forth from Thee, and they believed that Thou didst send Me.
You are My friends, if you do what I command you.

You will call your walls salvation and your gates praise

THE wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
You are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into a holy temple in the Lord in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit -- If you have tasted the kindness of the Lord. And coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected by men, but choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
There will be silence before Thee, and praise in Zion, O God and to Thee the vow will be performed.
Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion.

FEBRUARY 9, MORNING FEBRUARY 9, EVENING

Now he is being comforted

YOUR sun will set no more, neither will your moon wane for you will have the LORD for an everlasting light and the days of your mourning will be finished -- He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord GOD will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth -- These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason, they are before the throne of God and they serve Him day and night in His temple and He who sits on the throne shall spread His tabernacle over them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun beat down on them, nor any heat for the Lamb in the center of the throne shall be their Shepherd, and shall guide them to springs of the water of life and God shall wipe every tear from their eyes --and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away -- and there shall no longer be any curse -- He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.

Night is coming, when no man can work

BLESSED  are the dead who die in the Lord... they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them -- There the wicked cease from raging, And there the weary are at rest -- Samuel said to Saul, Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?
Whatever your hand finds to do, verily, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going-- The dead do not praise the LORD, nor do any who go down into silence.
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.

The lamp of your body is your eye; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light

THE natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.--Open my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Thy law.
I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life -- we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.--God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory... give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him... that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

He struck the rock, so that waters gushed out and streams were overflowing

ALL our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea and all ate the same spiritual food  and all drank the same spiritual drink for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ -- One of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water -- He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.
You are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have life -- My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, to hew for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.-- Let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.

FEBRUARY 11, MORNING FEBRUARY 11, EVENING

Those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name.

IT came about that while they were conversing and discussing, Jesus Himself approached, and began traveling with them -- Where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst -- My fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs -- Encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called Today lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Every careless word that men shall speak, they shall render account for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned -- Behold, it is written before Me.

The trees of the LORD are full of sap.

I WILL be as the dew unto Israel: He will blossom like the lily, and he will take root like the cedars of Lebanon. His shoots will sprout, and his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like the cedars of Lebanon -- Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and whose trust is the LORD.  For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit.
I bring down the high tree, exalt the low tree, dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish.
The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age. They shall be full of sap and very green.

They will be Mine says the LORD of hosts on the day that I prepare My own possession

I manifested Thy name to the men whom Thou gavest Me out of the world; Thine they were, and Thou gavest them to Me, and they have kept Thy word. I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom Thou hast given Me; for they are Thine and all things that are Mine are Thine, and Thine are Mine; and I have been glorified in them. Father I desire that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world.
I will come again, and receive you to Myself that where I am, there you may be also.-- He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day and to be marveled at among all who have believed -- We who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord -- You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

GOD, Who said Light shall shine out of darkness is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. --Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth....No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? -- When Thou didst say, Seek My face my heart said to Thee, Thy face, O LORD, I shall seek.
We all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit -- Father, I desire that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world.

FEBRUARY 13, MORNING FEBRUARY 13, EVENING

On that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man.

THE man Christ Jesus.--Made in the likeness of men . . . found in appearance as a man.-- Since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.
I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore -- Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin, once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God -- "What then if you should behold the Son of Man ascending where He was before?-- He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places -- In Him all the fulness of Deity dwells in bodily form.
For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we shall live with Him because of the power of God

Ezek 1.26. 1Ti. 2.5.--Php 2.7, 8.-- Heb 2.14. Re. 1.18.--Ro. 6.9,10.-- Jn 6.62.--Eph1:20.--Col. 2.9. 2Co 13.4.

Thy word has revived me

THE first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
As the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself -- I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die.
In Him was life; and the life was the light of men... as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life -- the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness

I DELIGHT to do Thy will, O my God. Thy Law is within my heart.
Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished.--The LORD was pleased for His righteousness' sake To make the law great and glorious.-- Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.
What the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit -- Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

I am your portion and your inheritance

WHOM have I in heaven but Thee? And besides Thee, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.--The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. Thou dost support my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.
The LORD is my portion says my soul Therefore I have hope in Him.
I have inherited Thy testimonies forever, for they are the joy of my heart.
O God, Thou art my God; I shall seek Thee earnestly. My soul thirsts for Thee, my flesh yearns for Thee, in a dry and weary land where there is no water...for Thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of Thy wings I sing for joy.

FEBRUARY 15, MORNING FEBRUARY 15, EVENING

Who can say, I have cleansed my heart?

THE LORD looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one.--Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
The wishing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I wish, I do not do; but I practice the very evil that I do not wish. -- All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment and all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
The Scripture has shut up all men under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe -- That God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The floods lift up their pounding waves

THE LORD on high is mightier Than the noise of many waters, Than the mighty waves of the sea.-- O LORD God of hosts, who is like Thee, O mighty LORD? Thy faithfulness also surrounds Thee. Thou dost rule the swelling of the sea. When its waves rise, Thou dost still them.
Do you not fear Me? declares the LORD. Do you not tremble in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, an eternal decree, so it cannot cross over it.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
Peter...walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me! And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee.

Your name is like purified oil

CHRIST...also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma -- This precious value then is for you who believe -- God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the Name which is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW -- in Him all the fulness of Deity dwells in bodily form
If you love Me, you will keep My commandments -- the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us --The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume --they were marveling and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Thy name in all the earth, Who hast displayed Thy splendor above the heavens! -- IMMANUEL which translated means GOD WITH US -- His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace -- The name of the LORD is a strong tower. The righteous runs into it and is safe.

While we are in this tent we groan, being burdened

LORD all my desire is before Thee and my sighing is not hidden from Thee... my iniquities are gone over my head as a heavy burden they weigh too much for me -- Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?
For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit... groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body-- Now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials
The laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent.--  For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.

All the rest of the bull, he is to bring out to a clean place outside the camp where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood with fire

THEY They took Jesus therefore, and He went out, bearing His own cross, to the place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha. There they crucified Him -- The bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Hence, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach -- The fellowship of His sufferings
But to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing; so that also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with exultation -- For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.

God created man in His own image

BEING then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them -- For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren
We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is.--  I will be satisfied with Thy likeness when I awake.
He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son --  if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ

Thou art my refuge in the day of disaster.

THERE are many who say Who will show us any good? LORD, lift up the light of Thy countenance upon us -- I shall sing of Thy strength. Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Thy lovingkindness in the morning for Thou hast been my stronghold, and a refuge in the day of my distress.
Now as for me, I said in my prosperity, I will never be moved. O LORD, by Thy favor Thou hast made my mountain to stand strong; Thou didst hide Thy face, I was dismayed. To Thee, O LORD, I called, and to the Lord I made supplication: What profit is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise Thee? Will it declare Thy faithfulness? Hear, O LORD, and be gracious to me; O LORD, be Thou my Helper.
For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion I will gather you. In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you, says the LORD your Redeemer.-- Sorrow will be turned to joy.--Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning.

WHO can make the clean out of the unclean? --Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.
Dead in your trespasses and sins....by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.-- I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin. For that which I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh.
Just as through one man sin entered into the world...through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.-- If by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

The LORD gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

TRUST in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding..--If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.--The foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.-- God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. That no man should boast before God

The unfolding of Thy words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.--Thy word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against Thee

All were speaking well of Him, and wondering at the gracious words which were falling from His lips.--Never did a man speak the way this man speaks.-- By His doing you are in Christ Jesus, Who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption.

YOU shall thus consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release through the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, and each of you shall return to his own property...to his family.
Your dead will live. Their corpses will rise. You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy, for your dew is as the dew of the dawn, and the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.

The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.

THE DAY OF TRIAL IN THE WILDERNESS

LET no one say when he is tempted, I am being tempted by God for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

They craved intensely in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert.
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit...was led about by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days; and when they had ended, He became hungry. And the devil said to Him If You are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.

For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted -- Simon, Simon...Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.

I AM the LORD your God, Who has separated you from the peoples. Thus you are to be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy and I have set you apart from the peoples to be Mine. -- You were sanctified.

Sanctify them in the truth. Thy word is truth.
-- Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus... that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.-- Our Savior Christ Jesus... gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds -- both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren -- for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth...by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood:

THOSE who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting.

That which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.

THE lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.
Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path -- Your ears will hear a word behind you, this is the way, walk in it, whenever you turn to the right or to the left.--   I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go. I will counsel you with My eye upon you. Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones, and shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.

The sprinkled blood,
which speaks better than the blood of Abel.

BEHOLD the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.--The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.--It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says sacrifice and offering Thou hast not desired, but a body Thou hast prepared for Me.--By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Abel...brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions and the LORD had regard for Abel and for his offering -- Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.--we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.--having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.--Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us

God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.-- That He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Thus says the Lord GOD This also I will let the house of Israel ask Me

YOU have not, because you ask not.

Ask, and it shall be given to; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you: for every one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks it shall be opened.-- This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.-- If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, Who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. -- Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.-- At all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart.

The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. -- The LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.-- You will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request the Father on your behalf; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.

Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with Thee: yet let me talk with Thee of Thy judgments.

He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver -- Whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom He receives.-- It is enough for the disciple that he become as his teacher, and the slave as his master.-- Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.

Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

WHEN the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him -- Begone, Satan! For it is written, YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.
Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.

Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.-- And do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them -- in order that no advantage be taken of us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.-- Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. -- This is the victory that has overcome the world-- our faith.
      Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies;

Oh that I knew where I might find Him!

WHO is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of His servant, that walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.
You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.-- Seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened.
Indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. -- Now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.
      If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;

Lo, I am with you always -- I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU -- The Helper...the Spirit of truth...abides with you and will be in you.

FEBRUARY 26, MORNING FEBRUARY 26, EVENING

Let us examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the LORD.

EXAMINE me, O LORD, and try me. Test my mind and my heart.-- Behold, Thou dost desire truth in the innermost being. And in the hidden part Thou wilt make me know wisdom.-- I considered my ways, and turned my feet to Thy testimonies. I hastened and did not delay To keep Thy commandments. -- Let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -- We have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.--Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

There was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance.

THIS is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations. I set My bow in the cloud... I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.-- An everlasting covenant with me, ordered in all things and secured.-- That by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge in laying hold of the hope set before us.
We preach to you the good news of the promise made to the fathers, that God has fulfilled this promise to our children in that He raised up Jesus.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever.

FEBRUARY 27, MORNING FEBRUARY 27, EVENING

Consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

HE who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life .-- For through the Law I died to the Law, that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.

Because I live, you shall live also.-- I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.
If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Ro 6.11. Jn 5.24.--Ga. 2.19, 20.
Jn 14.19.--Jn 10.28, 29, 30. Col. 3.1, 3.

God gives to all men generously and without reproach.

WOMAN, where are they? Did no one condemn you? And she said, 'No one, Lord.' And Jesus said, 'Neither do I condemn you; go your way. From now on sin no more.'

The grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many... the free gift arose from many transgressions resulting in justification.
God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

FEBRUARY 28, MORNING FEBRUARY 28, EVENING

God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

GOD... reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him -- God is love. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Jn 3.16. 2Co 5.18, 19, 20, 21.--1Jn 4.8, 9, 10, 11.

The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD

HE who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her...and when they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones.

Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?

      To one who knows the right thing to do, and does not do it, to him it is sin. -- if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;
All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the man who eats and gives offense. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts and see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.

FEBRUARY 29, MORNING FEBRUARY 29, EVENING

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

BEHOLD, now is THE ACCEPTABLE TIME, behold, now is THE DAY OF SALVATION-- For a little while longer the light is among you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness may not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. While you have the light, believe in the light, in order that you may become sons of light.

Whatever your hand finds to do, verily, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry...'You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?' So is the man who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

You do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away...the world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God abides forever.

Thou art the same and Thy years will not come to an end.

BEFORE the mountains were born, or Thou didst give birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God.

I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed --the same yesterday and today, yes and forever.

Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.--The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

"God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent -- The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.

He...because He abides forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.-- Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last.
