The fruit of
the Spirit is . . . faith |
Y grace you have
been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God--Without
faith it is impossible to please him.--He who believes in Him is not judged;
he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God.-- I do believe; help my
unbelief.
Whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God
has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him --faith working
through love --Faith without works is useless
We walk by faith, not by sight.-- I have been
crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in
me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me --though you have not
seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in
Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining
as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

The Lord is
full of compassion and is merciful. |
IKE as a father has
compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him
--The LORD is gracious and compassionate. He has given food to those who
fear Him. He will remember His covenant forever.
He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who
keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.-- Like an eagle that stirs up
its nest, that hovers over its young, He spread His wings and caught them,
He carried them on His pinions. The LORD alone guided him, and there was no
foreign god with him.
His compassions never fail. They are new every
morning. Great is Thy faithfulness.
He went ashore, He saw a great multitude, and felt
compassion for them, and healed their sick --Jesus Christ is the same
yesterday and today, yes and forever.
The very hairs of your head are all numbered. Are
not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the
ground apart from your Father. Therefore do not fear.

The Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world |
OUR lamb shall be an unblemished male a year old...the whole assembly of the
congregation of Israel is to kill it at twilight. Moreover, they shall take
some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the
houses in which they eat it...and when I see the blood I will pass over you .--The
sprinkled blood --Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed -- Delivered
up by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God -- According to His
own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity
We have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.
Since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm
yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the
flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh
no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

I have trodden the wine
trough alone |
HO is
like unto Thee among the gods, O LORD? Who is like Thee, majestic in
holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders?--He saw that there was no
man, and was astonished that there was no one to intercede. Then His own arm
brought salvation to Him and His righteousness upheld Him-- He Himself bore
our sins in His body on the cross -- having become a curse for us
O Sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done
wonderful things. His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory
for Him.-- When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public
display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.--As a result of the
anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied. By His knowledge the
Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, as He will bear their
iniquities.
O my soul, march on with strength --We overwhelmingly
conquer through Him who loved us.--They overcame... because of the blood of
the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony

great is thy goodness, which Thou hast stored up for those who fear Thee,
which Thou hast wrought for those who take refuge in Thee, before the sons
of men! Thou dost hide them in the secret place of Thy presence from the
conspiracies of man. Thou dost keep them secretly in a shelter from the
strife of tongues.
If you address as Father the One who impartially
judges according to each man's work, conduct yourselves in fear during the
time of your stay upon earth --The LORD is near to all who
call upon him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him. He
will also hear their cry and will save them.
Because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself
before the LORD...you have torn your clothes and wept before Me, I truly
have heard you, declares the LORD .--To this one I will look, to him who is
humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.--The LORD is
near to the brokenhearted, And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father
who is in heaven.-- He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy
of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

sake shall find it.
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he

the author and perfecter of faith.--I glorified Thee on the earth, having
accomplished the work which Thou hast given Me to do.--We have been
sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
And every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the
same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; but He, having offered one
sacrifice for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, waiting
from that time onward UNTIL HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET.
For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are
sanctified.-- Having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of
decrees against us and which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of
the way, having nailed it to the cross.
I lay down My life that I may take it again. No

He sent from
on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. |
E brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay; and He
set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.--You were dead in your
trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of
this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit
that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all
formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh
and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the
end of the earth I call to Thee, when my heart is faint.--I cried for help
from the depth of Sheol; Thou didst hear my voice. For Thou hadst cast me
into the deep, Into the heart of the seas, And the current engulfed me. All
Thy breakers and billows passed over me.--We went through fire and through
water, yet Thou didst bring us out into a place of abundance.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with
you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you.

you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness,
resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to
righteousness, resulting in sanctification.--I urge you brethren, by the
mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice,
acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be
conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and
acceptable and perfect.
If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature;
the old things passed away; behold, new things have come -- For neither is
circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. And those who
will walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them.--This I say therefore,
and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the
Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind. You did not learn Christ
in this way; if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just
as truth is in Jesus. Put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has
been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask, and you will receive,

Lord GOD will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the
reproach of His people from all the earth; for the LORD has spoken.-- But

from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken, says the LORD Who has
compassion on you. O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, Behold,
I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in
sapphires.
I will bear the indignation of the LORD because I
have sinned against Him, until He pleads my case and executes justice for
me. He will bring me out to the light, and I will see His righteousness.

God has chosen
the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen
the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong |
HEN the sons of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer for
them, Ehud... a left-handed man. After him came Shamgar...who struck down
six hundred Philistines with an ox goad:
and he also saved Israel.
The LORD looked upon Gideon, and
said, Go in this your strength...Have I not sent you? And he said unto him,
O Lord, how shall I deliver Israel? Behold, my family is the least in
Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father's house.
And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people
that are with you are too many for Me...lest Israel
become boastful, saying, My own power has delivered me.
Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,'
says the LORD of hosts.-- Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His
might.

He has
prepared a city for them. |
F I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you may
be also.--An inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not
fade away, reserved in heaven for you --Here we do not have a lasting city,
but we are seeking the city which is to come.
This Jesus, who has
been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you
have watched Him go into heaven --Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the
coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the
soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You
too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at
hand.-- Yet in a very little while,
He Who is coming will come and will not delay.
We who are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we
shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these
words.

The base
things of the world and the despised, God has chosen |
Do
not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards,
nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were
some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were
justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our
God.
You were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you
formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince
of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of
disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our
flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind.
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we
have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of
regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, Whom He poured out upon us
richly through Jesus Christ our Savior
My thoughts
are not your thoughts. Neither are your ways My ways declares the LORD.

The joy of the LORD
is your strength |
hout for joy, O heavens! And rejoice, O earth! Break forth into joyful
shouting, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people, and will have
compassion on His afflicted --Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and
not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and song, and He has become
my salvation.--The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in
Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall
thank Him.--My soul will exult in my God for He has clothed me with garments
of salvation. He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a
bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with
her jewels.
Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for
boasting in things pertaining to God.--We also exult in God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation..--I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

He has made an
everlasting covenant with me, ordered in all things, and secured |
KNOW Whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I
have entrusted to Him until that day.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly
places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the
world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He
predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the kind intention of His will.
And we know that God causes all things to work
together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according
to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become
conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among
many brethren and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He
called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also
glorified.

Now the God of
peace, equip you in every good thing to do His will |
E made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of
love and peace shall be with you.
By grace you have been saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God not as a result of works, that
no one should boast --Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is
from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no
variation, or shifting shadow
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling
for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good
pleasure.-- Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that
which is good and acceptable and perfect.
-- Having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through
Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider
anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God

I will allure her,

OME out from THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE says the Lord. AND DO NOT TOUCH
WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you. And I will be a father to you, and
you shall be sons and daughters to Me Says the Lord Almighty.
-- Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from
all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Jesus... that He might sanctify the people through His own
blood, suffered outside the gate. Hence, let us go out to Him outside the
camp, bearing His reproach.
Jesus said Come away by yourselves to a lonely place
and rest a while. --The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me
lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my
soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
