Is anything too difficult for the LORD?-Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it.--Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God --Casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.

      Hezekiah took the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went up to the house of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD. And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD

      It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.--The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

      I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.
 

THOU shalt . . . make a laver of bronze...and you shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it. And Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet from it when they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water, that they may not die... they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they may not die...--Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you --If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

      From my flesh I shall see God: Whom I myself shall behold, and Whom my eyes shall see and not another.-- Nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it.--Thine eyes are too pure to approve evil, And Thou canst not look on wickedness --I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
 

IF any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, Who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without any doubting --Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight --The only wise God.--Be not wise in your own eyes.

      Alas, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, because I am a youth. But the LORD said to me, Do not say, I am a youth, because everywhere I send you, you shall go, and all that I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the LORD.

      If you shall ask the Father for anything, He will give it to you in My name. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full --All things you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

AND I said, Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. I would hasten to my place of refuge from the stormy wind and tempest.

      In this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven...for indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed, but to be clothed, in order that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.--Having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better

      Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.
      Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
 

Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.--We suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

      He knows the way I take. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot has held fast to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside.

      You shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. You are to know in your heart that the LORD your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son. Therefore, you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.

THEN David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, Whom you have taunted. And David put his hand into his bag and took from it a stone and slung it. Thus David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone.

      The king is not saved by a mighty army. A warrior is not delivered by great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope for His lovingkindness--Both riches and honor come from Thee, and Thou dost rule over all, and in Thy hand is power and might; and it lies in Thy hand to make great, and to strengthen everyone.

      I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
 

NOT that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God --A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given him from heaven --No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day --And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me always

      Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow. In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we might be, as it were, the first fruits among His creatures.

      For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

      LORD, Thou wilt establish peace for us, since Thou hast also performed for us all our works.

While following the way of Thy judgments, O LORD, we have waited for Thee eagerly. Thy Name, even Thy memory, is the desire of our souls. At night my soul longs for Thee. Indeed, my spirit within me seeks Thee diligently

      I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the wishing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.--The flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

      I can do all things through Him who strengthens me .--Our adequacy is from God --My grace is sufficient for you.

THE LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him --He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed --For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.

      But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life--There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

      The LORD our Righteousness.

THE meekness and gentleness of Christ.

      A bruised reed He will not break, And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish

      The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because he anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He hath sent Me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are downtrodden, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. And he began to say to them, Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing. And all were speaking well of Him, and wondering at the gracious words which were falling from His lips

      And the Lord turned, and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had told him, Before a cock crows today, you will deny Me three times. And he went out and wept bitterly.

      He will tend His flock, in His arm He will gather the lambs, and carry them in His bosom; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.

BRETHREN, even if a man is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.

      My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth, and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins --Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart --Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law -Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor --all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.

      We who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves.

IT is sown a perishable body... it is sown in dishonor... it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: it is sown a natural body.--The first man is of the earth, earthy.

      You are dust, And to dust you shall return --One dies in his full strength, being wholly at ease and satisfied...while another dies with a bitter soul, never even tasting anything good. Together they lie down in the dust, and worms cover them.

      My flesh also will dwell securely -- Even after my skin is destroyed, yet from my flesh I shall see God --A Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ... will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

      LORD, make me to know my end, and what is the extent of my days, Let me know how transient I am --So teach us to number our days, That we may present to Thee a heart of wisdom.

HE has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?-- Has the LORD as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.--To love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength and to love one's neighbor as himself, is more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.
      Therefore return to your God, Observe kindness and justice, And wait for your God continually --Mary... was listening to the Lord's word, seated at His feet... only a few things are necessary, really only one, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
      It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

THE LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being --It is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding --The first man Adam became a living soul.--The breath (spirit) of man ascends upward.
      While we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord-- We are of good courage... and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord --With Christ, for that is very much better --We do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
      I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

I KNOW whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.--The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom --in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.--Your life is is hidden with Christ in God.
      Did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
      Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

YOU shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered Him, We are Abraham's offspring, and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, You shall become free? Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.
      Keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.-- Having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.--For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband.
      The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death --I will walk at liberty, for I seek Thy precepts.

ABSTAIN from every form of evil --Have regard for what is honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men--For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.
      By no means let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler but if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but in that name let him glorify God.
      You were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.--Take care lest this liberty of yours somehow become a stumbling block to the weak --Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him that a heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depth of the sea-- To the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.

IT is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed .--so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.
      Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you.
      Therefore, gird your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ -- Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps alight. And be like men who are waiting for their master

Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you. Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.--Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance. The recompense of God will come, but He will save you.--The LORD your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy --Wait for the LORD; Be strong, and let your heart take courage.
      I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be among them and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.

BE strong, and let us show ourselves courageous for the sake of our people and for the cities of our God and may the LORD do what is good in His sight --We prayed to our God, and because of them we set up a guard against them day and night.
      Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.--If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself --So let us know, let us press on to know the LORD.
      Keep watching and praying, that you may not enter into temptation.--Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong --Not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord
      Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, take courage, fear not.

STRENGTHENED with all power according to his glorious might.--As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
-- Oaks of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.-- Having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into a holy temple in the Lord in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
      I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified -- Having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
      Fight the good fight of faith.--In no way alarmed by your opponents

NO man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.--If any man's work which he has built upon it remains, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work is burned up, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as through fire --We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad
      When when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you .--After a long time the master of those slaves came and settled accounts with them.
      Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God --LORD, Thou wilt establish peace for us, since Thou hast also performed for us all our works.

THE people whom I formed for Myself,  will declare My praise--I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me, and by which they have transgressed against Me. And it shall be to Me a name of joy, praise, and glory before all the nations of the earth --Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.
      I will give thanks to Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And will glorify Thy name forever. For Thy lovingkindness toward me is great, And Thou hast delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.--Who is like Thee... O LORD...majestic in holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders? --I will praise the name of God with song, And shall magnify Him with thanksgiving --They sang the song of Moses the bond-servant of God and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Thy ways, Thou King of the nations.

WE also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another --Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.
      Job answered the LORD and said, Behold, I am insignificant; what can I reply to Thee? I lay my hand on my mouth.--The LORD said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.
      Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.--David...concerning whom He also testified and said, 'I HAVE FOUND DAVID the son of Jesse, A MAN AFTER MY HEART, who will do all My will.
      Even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. And yet I was shown mercy.
      That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

DO not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus... taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men --Even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many --He died for all, that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
      When Jesus...saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her, also weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit, and was troubled. Jesus wept.--Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
      Let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.

YOU are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.
      Consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that you should obey its lusts, and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God-- As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior because it is written, YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY --Sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
      Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom Thou hast given Me; for they are Thine and all things that are Mine are Thine, and Thine are Mine; and I have been glorified in them. I do not ask Thee to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
      Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love --Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends, if you do what I command you --A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
      He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus --Christ . . . loved the church, and gave Himself up for her; that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word

No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.--To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.
      Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God
      For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man... that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God.

IT is the Spirit who gives life --The Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God .--With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance
      I will never forget Thy precepts, For by them Thou hast revived me --The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life --The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life --If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you --This is the confidence which we have before Him that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
      No one can say, Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.

Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good morals.
      Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough?  Clean out the old leaven. I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters; for then you would have to go out of the world. But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he should be an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler-- not even to eat with such a one.--That you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world
     Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor.

BE anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus --You have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, Abba! Father!
      I have not spoken in secret, In some dark land --Since therefore...we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water --We confidently say, THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT SHALL MAN DO TO ME?

WHERE the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.--For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death --If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.
      Brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the free woman --Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified.
      One who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does --It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery
 

WHO is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of His servant, that walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God -- When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong, because the LORD is the One who holds his hand --The commandment is a lamp, and the teaching is light.
      Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise. Though I dwell in darkness, the LORD is a light for me. I will bear the indignation of the LORD because I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me out to the light, and I will see His righteousness.
      The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

I feel compassion for the multitude, because they have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat... I do not wish to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.--We do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
      They were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them... and He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands upon them.
     I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Thy servant --The of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost --You were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
      Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom --I will feed My flock and I will lead them to rest, declares the Lord GOD.

THAT we should be holy and blameless before Him.
      God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. And it was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.--Whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.--Chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood
      I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh--God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification.

HAVE faith in God.--Without faith it is impossible to please Him--With men this is impossible
      Is My hand so short that it cannot ransom? Or have I no power to deliver?
      My thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways My ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts --Test Me now in this, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.
      Behold, the LORD'S hand is not so short that it cannot save. Neither is His ear so dull that it cannot hear--LORD, there is no one besides Thee to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength
      We should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead

IN the world you have tribulation --The whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body --While we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed, but to be clothed, in order that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
      These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne shall spread His tabernacle over them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun beat down on them, nor any heat for the Lamb in the center of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them to springs of the water of life; and God shall wipe every tear from their eyes.

THE LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works.
      Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant --While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease
      The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him --God heard the lad crying; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, and said to her, "What is the matter with you, Hagar? Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water; and she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink.
      Do not be anxious then, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink?... For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things --To fix their hope... on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

THIS is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.
      Faith, faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself --Faith working through love -- The one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life --We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them --Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
      We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater. To this end also we pray for you always that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power -- It is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

ENOCH, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, Behold, the Lord came with many thousands of His holy ones, to execute judgment upon all -- BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him.
      The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.
      The grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus

I KNOW the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity--There is no peace for the wicked, says the LORD.
      In Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace
      It it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fulness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross --Christ Jesus Whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed...that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus --If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
      Trust in the LORD forever, for in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.

AS the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself --For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.
      I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die -- I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep -- I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father. --No one comes to the Father, but through Me --He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life --For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

NOW the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality...and things like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
     The grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed

IF you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. By no means let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler
      Do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil --Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles
      Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE, says the Lord. AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN
      You are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, a PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light

I HAVE loved you with an everlasting love
      By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
      When the fulness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, in order that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.--The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth --Great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh
      Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil

SHOUT joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness. Come before Him with joyful singing. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His name --For a child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
      He...did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all -- He had one more to send, a beloved son; he sent him
      Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men!--Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
      My soul exalts the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

Knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord....As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude -- The one who endures to the end, he shall be saved --The seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.
      In your faith you are standing firm.
      We must work the works of Him who sent Me, as long as it is day; night is coming, when no man can work.
      The one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

I AM the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me -- And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.
      My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand --He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus --Is anything too difficult for the LORD?
      Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.


 

HERE we do not have a lasting city --You have for yourselves a better possession and an abiding one.
      Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.
      Now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials --There the wicked cease from raging and there the weary are at rest.
      We are in this tent, we groan, being burdened --He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.
      The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us --Momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison

GOD was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him --Through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross...And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach-- Having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us and which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross --By abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace
      Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

I WILL forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more -Who can forgive sins but God alone?
      I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins --Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered! How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity.--Who is a God like Thee, who pardons iniquity
      God in Christ also has forgiven you --The blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
      As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us --Sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law, but under grace -- Having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

O LORD, we have waited for Thee eagerly; Thy name, even Thy memory, is the desire of our souls
      The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
      Where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst --I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you --Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
      Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith
      Now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face --Having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better
      Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

THIS is the will of God, your sanctification -- Yield now and be at peace with Him. Thereby good will come to you --This is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent --We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, in order that we might know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
      We...have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.--The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
 

ENOCH walked with God.--Do two men walk together unless they have made an appointment? --As for me, the nearness of God is my good
      The LORD is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you....in their distress they turned to the LORD God of Israel, and they sought Him, and He let them find Him.
      For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
      Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith,

YOU were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach--if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel--That you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world
      Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless
     Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

IF we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin --He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean
      I have directed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. When you walk, your steps will not be impeded; And if you run, you will not stumble. Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not proceed in the way of evil men. Avoid it, do not pass by it. Turn away from it and pass on. Let your eyes look directly ahead, and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet, and all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left. Turn your foot from evil.
      The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

I bore you on eagles' wings, and brought you to Myself --In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them; And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old --Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, He spread His wings and caught them, He carried them on His pinions. The LORD alone guided him
      Even to your old age, I shall be the same, and even to your graying years I shall bear you! I have done it, and I shall carry you; and I shall bear you, and I shall deliver you --For such is God, our God forever and ever; He will guide us until death.
      Cast your burden upon the LORD, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken-- Do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, as to what you shall put on --For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things
      Thus far the LORD has helped us.

NOT that I have already obtained it, or have already become perfect, but I press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
      You are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.--applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.
      I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment
      EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM. For to us God revealed them through the Spirit
      There remains...a Sabbath rest for the people of God --Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; they will behold a far-distant land.
