The fruit of
the Spirit is goodness. |
E imitators of God,
as beloved children--Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you
in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes
His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous
and the unrighteous.--Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
The fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and
truth
When the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness,
but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by
the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our
Savior.--The LORD is good to all: and His
mercies are over all his works.--He who did not spare His own Son,
but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give
us all things?

Ebenezer...Thus far the LORD has helped us. |
WAS brought low, and He saved me.--Blessed be the LORD,
because He has heard the voice of my supplication. The LORD is my strength
and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart
exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in man. It is
better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.--How blessed is
he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God.--He
led them also by a straight way, to go to an inhabited city.--Not one of the
good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed all came
to pass.
I sent you out without purse and bag and sandals, you did not lack
anything, did you? And they said, No, nothing.--For Thou hast been my
help, and in the shadow of Thy wings I sing for joy.

This is the
ordinance of the Passover: no foreigner is to eat of it |
E have an altar, from
which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.-- Unless one is
born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.-- At that time separate from
Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the
covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now
in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the
blood of Christ.
For He Himself is our peace, Who
made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall,
by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments
contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new
man, thus establishing peace
So then you are no longer strangers
and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's
household
If anyone hears My voice and opens
the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.

Jesus
prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more. |
N
the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with
loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was
heard because of His piety.
So let us know, let us press on to know the LORD --Devoted to prayer
--With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with
this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the
saints.--By prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be
made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension,
shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Yet not as I will, but as Thou
wilt.--This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask
anything according to His will, He hears us.
Delight yourself in the LORD and He
will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD. Trust
also in Him, and He will do it.

If children,

F
you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to
promise.
See how great a love
the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God --
You are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through
God.--He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the kind intention of His will,
Father, I
desire that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in
order that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me
He who

The base
things of the world
and the despised, God has chosen |
HY,
are not all these who are speaking Galileans?... Jesus saw two brothers,
Simon.. called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the
sea...and He said to them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
--Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John, and understood that
they were uneducated and untrained men, they were marveling, and began to
recognize them as having been with Jesus.
My message
and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not rest on
the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
You did not choose
Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit.
He who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me
you can do nothing.--We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the
surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves

S one whom his mother
comforts, so I will comfort you --They were bringing children to Him so that

laying His hands upon them.--Jesus called His disciples to Him, and said, I
feel compassion for the multitude, because they have remained with Me now
three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not wish to send them away
hungry, lest they faint on the way.-- We do not have a high priest who
cannot sympathize with our weaknesses --In His love and in His mercy He
redeemed them

Surely His

Lovingkindness and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have
kissed each other. If Thou, LORD, shouldst mark iniquities O Lord, who could
stand? But there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared.-- O
Israel, hope in the LORD for with the LORD there is lovingkindness, and with
Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his
iniquities. -- All have sinned & fall short of the glory of God, being

faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness.

We have come
to know and have believed the love which God has for us. |
OD, being rich in
mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with
Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated
us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, in order that in the
ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness
toward us in Christ Jesus.
God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but
have eternal life.--He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up
for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?--The
LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works.

Do not be
haughty in mind,
but associate with the lowly. |
Y brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an
attitude of personal favoritism.-- Did not God choose the poor of this world
to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who
love Him?
Let no one seek his own good, but
that of his neighbor --I we have food and covering, with these we
shall be content. But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a
snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and
destruction.
God hath chosen chosen the foolish
things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of
the world to shame the things which are strong,
and the base things of the world and the despised, God has chosen, the
things that are not, that He might nullify the things that are, that no man
should boast before God.
O LORD, my heart is not proud, nor
my eyes haughty

Let your
speech always be with grace, seasoned, as it were, with salt |
s apples of gold in
settings of silver is a word spoken in right circumstances. Like an earring
of gold and an ornament of fine gold is a wise reprover to a listening
ear.--Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word
as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may
give grace to those who hear.-- The good man out of his good treasure brings
forth what is good; and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth
what is evil. For by your words you shall be justified.--The tongue of the
wise brings healing.
Then those who feared the LORD
spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book
of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who
esteem His name.
If you extract the precious from
the worthless, you will become My spokesman.--just as you abound in

Thy
lovingkindness is before my eyes. |
HE LORD is gracious, and merciful, slow to
anger and great in lovingkindness.--Your Father who is in heaven; for He
causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the
righteous and the unrighteous.
Be imitators of God... and walk in
love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering
and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.--Be kind to one another,
tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has
forgiven you.--Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls
for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the
heart --The loveof Christ controls us
But love your enemies, and do good,
and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and
you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and
evil men. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

No temptation has overtaken you but
such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be

O not go on passing

account of himself to God. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore

Let us
consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds |
OW painful are
honest words! --I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder
Those who
feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard
it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the
LORD and who esteem His name--If two of you agree on earth about anything
that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.
The LORD
God said, said, It is not good for the man to be alone --Two are better than
one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them
falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when
there is not another to lift him up.
Let us not... put an obstacle or a stumbling
block in a brother's way.--Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the
law of Christ. Looking to yourself, lest you too be tempted.

I am my beloved's and his desire is
for me |
KNOW whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I
have entrusted to Him until that day.--I am convinced that neither death,
nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to
come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall
be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord.--I was keeping them in Thy name which Thou hast given Me; and I
guarded them, and not one of them perished
The LORD
takes pleasure in His people.--My delight in the sons of men --His great
love with which He loved us --Greater love has no one than this, that one
lay down his life for his friends.
You have been bought
with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.-- If we live, we live for
the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or
die, we are the Lord's.

Seek from the
book of the LORD, |
E shall therefore
impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall
bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your
forehead.--This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you
shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do
according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way
prosperous, and then you will have success.
The law of
his God is in his heart; His steps do not slip.--By the word of Thy lips I
have kept from the paths of the violent.--Thy word I have treasured in my
heart, That I may not sin against Thee.
We have
the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as
to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star
arises in your hearts..--That through perseverance and the encouragement of
the Scriptures we might have hope.

As the
sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is
abundant through Christ. |
HE
fellowship of his sufferings.-- To the degree that you share the sufferings
of Christ, keep on rejoicing; so that also at the revelation of His glory,
you may rejoice with exultation.--If we died with Him, we shall also live
with Him.--If children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs
with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him in order that we may also be
glorified with Him.
God,
desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness
of His purpose, interposed with an oath, in order that by two unchangeable
things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong
encouragement, we who have fled for refuge in laying hold of the hope set
before us.--Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, Who has loved
us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and
strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.
