The fruit of the Spirit is peace. |
he mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. -- God has called us to
peace.--Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world
gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be
fearful. -- the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,
that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I know whom I have
believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted
to Him until that day. --The steadfast of mind Thou wilt keep in perfect
peace, Because he trusts in Thee.
The work of
righteousness the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of
righteousness, quietness and confidence forever. Then my people will live in
a peaceful habitation, And in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting
places.-- He who listens to me shall live securely, And shall be at ease
from the dread of evil.
Those who love Thy
law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble.

Jehovah Shammah.
(The LORD is there.) |
EHOLD, the tabernacle of God
is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His people,
and God Himself shall be among them. I saw no temple in it, for the Lord
God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple. And the city has no need of
the sun or of the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God has illumined
it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
I shall behold Thy
face in righteousness I will be satisfied with Thy likeness when I
awake.--Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And besides Thee, I desire nothing
on earth.
Judah will be
inhabited forever, and Jerusalem for all generations. And I will avenge
their blood which I have not avenged, for the LORD dwells in Zion..--Sing
for joy and be glad, O daughter of Zion for behold I am coming and I will
dwell in your midst, declares the LORD.-- There shall no longer be any
curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His
bond-servants shall serve Him.

Surely the LORD is in this place
and I did not
know it |
HERE two or three
are gathered together in my name, there am I in their midst --Lo, I am
with you always, even to the end of the age.--My presence shall go with you,
and I will give you rest.
Where can I go from Thy Spirit? Or where can I flee from Thy presence? If I
ascend to heaven, Thou art there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, Thou
art there. Am I a God who is near, declares the LORD, and not a God far off?
Can a man hide himself in hiding places, so I do not see him? declares the
LORD. Do I not fill the heavens and the earth? declares the LORD.
Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot
contain Thee, how much less this house which I have built!--Thus says the
high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a
high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order
to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite --We are the temple
of the living God.

Guard yourselves from idols. |
Y
son, give me your heart.--Set your mind on the things above, not on the
things that are on earth.
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and have put
right before their faces the stumbling block of their iniquity. Should I be
consulted by them at all? -- Consider the members of your earthly body as
dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts
to idolatry .--Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare
and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and
destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some
by longing for it have wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves
with many a pang. But flee from these things, you man of God;
If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.--My fruit is
better than gold, yea, even pure gold, and my yield than choicest silver.
Where your treasure is,
there will your heart be also.--The LORD looks at
the heart.

You are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is

AM
God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.-- You are to be holy to Me,
for I the LORD am holy; and I have set you apart from the peoples to be
Mine.
You have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
In
Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and
authority.-- Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every
lawless deed -- Be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and
blameless
Blessed
are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD.-- One who
looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not
having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man shall be
blessed in what he does.-- Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and
know my anxious thoughts and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead
me in the everlasting way.

Perfecting holiness in the fear
of God. |
EARLY
beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit,
perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Behold, thou
dost desire truth in the innermost being, and in the hidden part Thou wilt
make me know wisdom.--Instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires
and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age -- Let your
light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and
glorify your Father who is in heaven.-- Not that I have already obtained it,
or have already become perfect
Everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is
pure.
Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, Who gave to us the
Spirit as a pledge.-- For the equipping of the saints for the work of
service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to
the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature
man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ

the day I called Thou didst answer me; Thou didst make me bold with strength
in my soul.--While I was still speaking in prayer, then the man Gabriel,
whom I had seen in the vision previously, came to me in my extreme weariness
about the time of the evening offering.
Do not hide Thy face from me. Do not turn Thy servant away in anger. Thou
hast been my help. Do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation
--O LORD, be not far off. O Thou my help, hasten to my assistance.
Ah Lord GOD! Behold, Thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thy great
power and by Thine outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for Thee --Who
delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom
we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us--Shall not God bring about
justice for His elect, who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long
over them? I tell you that He will bring about justice for them speedily.

Did
you not know that I had to be in My Father's house? And they did not
understand the statement which He had made to them.--This sickness is not
unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified
by it. Did I not say to you, if you believe, you will see the glory of God?
Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.--Thou art
My beloved Son; in Whom I am well pleased.--all were speaking well of Him,
and wondering at the gracious words which were falling from His lips
Worthy art Thou...for Thou wast slain, and didst purchase for God with Thy

Do not be anxious then, saying, What shall we
eat? or What shall we drink? or With what shall we clothe ourselves?
For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly
Father knows that you need all these things. |
FEAR tthe LORD, you His
saints; For to those who fear Him, there is no want. The young lions do lack
and suffer hunger; But they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any
good thing. --No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
O LORD of hosts, How blessed is the man who trusts in Thee!
I want you to be
free from concern.-- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Are not two
sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground

IKE as a fatherhas
compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear
Him. For He Himself knows our frame. He is mindful that we are but dust.
The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.--There
there will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and
protection from the storm and the rain.
The LORD is your keeper. The LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth
and forever. -- The LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day
to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them
light, that they might travel by day and by night. He did not take away the
pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the
people.

God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their
trespasses against them -- Whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in
His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because
in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed for
the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, that He
might be Just and the Justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.--He was
pierced through for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities.
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him and by His scourging we are
healed.--Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who
justifies -- To the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies
the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness

How are the dead raised?
And with what kind of body do they come? |
ELOVED, now we
are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We
know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him
just as He is.--As we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear
the image of the heavenly.
A Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ...will transform the body of our humble
state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the
power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.
He Himself stood in their midst. But they
were startled and frightened and thought that they were seeing a spirit.--
He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve: After that He appeared to more

rooms, and close your doors behind you. Hide for a little while, until
indignation runs its course.
For behold, the LORD is about to come out from His place to punish the
inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; and the earth will reveal her

is inevitable that stumbling blocks should come, but woe to him through whom

foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and
put Him to death. --Then they spat in His face and beat Him with their
fists; and others slapped Him, and said, Prophesy to us, You Christ; who is
the one who hit You?
--In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders,
were mocking Him, and saying, He saved others; He cannot save Himself. He is
the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we shall
believe in Him.--For truly in this city there were gathered together against
Thy holy servant Jesus, whom Thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius
Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever
Thy hand and Thy purpose predestined to occur.

Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this
darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places --
Since...the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also
partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who
had the power of death, that is, the devil.-- When He had disarmed the
rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed
over them through Him -I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now the
salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of
His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down,
who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is
from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. |
HE love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit
who was given to us. -- You have not received a spirit of slavery leading to
fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we
cry out, Abba! Father! The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that
we are children of God -- The one who believes in the Son of God has the
witness in himself.
By this the love of God was
manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so
that we might live through Him --In Him we have redemption through His
blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His
grace --That in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His
grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Beloved, if God so loved
us, we also ought to love one another.

Reproach has broken my heart. |
S not this the carpenter's son?--Can any good thing come out of
Nazareth?--Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?
-- He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.--We know that this man
is a sinner.--He leads the multitude astray.--This fellow blasphemes.--
Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax-gatherers and
sinners!
It is enough for the disciple that
he become as his teacher, and the slave as his master. -- This finds favor,
if for the sake of conscience toward God a man bears up under sorrows when
suffering unjustly....For you have been called for this purpose, since
Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in
His steps, WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH and
while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He
uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges
righteously.--If If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed.

In every place to pray, lifting up holy hands,
without wrath and dissension. |
HE true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such
people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who
worship Him must worship in spirit and truth..--Then you will call, and the
LORD will answer; you will cry, and He will say, Here I am. --Whenever you
stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your
Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your transgressions.
Without without faith it is impossible to please
Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a
rewarder of those who seek Him.-- Let him ask in faith without any doubting,
for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the
wind. For let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the
Lord
If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will
not hear --My little children, I am writing these things to you that you may
not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus
Christ the righteous and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins.

My heart throbs, my strength fails me |
EAR Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I
call to Thee, when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher
than I.
He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for
you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will
rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses,
with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak,
then I am strong.
Seeing the wind, he became afraid,
and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me! And immediately
Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, O you of
little faith, why did you doubt? --If you are slack in the day of distress,
your strength is limited.-- He gives strength to the weary, And to him who
lacks might He increases power.-- The eternal God is a dwelling place, And
underneath are the everlasting arms.-- Strengthened with all power,
according to His glorious might.

The fellowship of his

T is enough
for the disciple that he become as his teacher, and the slave as his master.
If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more the
members of his household!
He was despised and
forsaken of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and like one
from whom men hide their face, He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.--In the world you have
tribulation.-- Because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the
world, therefore the world hates you.
I looked for sympathy, but there
was none. -- At my first defense no one supported me, but all deserted me.
The foxes have holes,
and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay
His head.-- Here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city
which is to come.
Let us also lay aside
every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run
with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the
Author and Perfecter of faith, Who for the joy set before Him endured the
cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne
of God.

because of the blood of the
Lamb |
HO will bring a charge
against God's elect? God is the one who justifies. Who is the one who
condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at
the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.-- It is the blood by
reason of the life that makes atonement -- I am the LORD. and the blood
shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the
blood I will pass over you.
There is...no condemnation for
those who are in Christ Jesus.
These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they,
and from where have they come?...These are the ones who come out of the
great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in
the blood of the Lamb.
To Him who loves us, and released
us from our sins by His blood, and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests
to His God and Father; to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and
ever. Amen.

He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes and
there shall no longer be any death. There shall no longer be any
mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away |
E will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord GOD will wipe tears away
from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the
earth; for the LORD has spoken.-- Your sun will set no more, neither will
your moon wane; for you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, and the
days of your mourning will be finished.-- No resident will say, I am sick.
The people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity. --There will no
longer be heard in her The voice of weeping and the sound of crying.-- Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them
from death: O Death, where are your thorns? O Sheol, where is your sting?

Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am.
We are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.--He
is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the
first-born from the dead.--You are complete in Him and He is the head
Since then the children share in
flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through
death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the
devil and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to
slavery all their lives.

OU call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am -- If anyone
serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall My servant also
be; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. -- Take My yoke upon
you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU SHALL
FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.
Whatever things were gain to me, those things I have
counted as loss for the sake of Christ.-- Having been freed from sin and
enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and
the outcome, eternal life.
No longer do I call you slaves,
for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you
friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known
to you. --You are no longer a slave, but a son
It was for freedom
that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject
again to a yoke of slavery --For you were called to freedom, brethren; only
do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh

I will bless the LORD who has counseled me |
IS name will be called Wonderful Counselor --Counsel is mine and sound
wisdom; I am understanding, power is mine.--Thy word is a lamp to my
feet, and a light to my path.--Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do
not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He
will make your paths straight.
O LORD, that a man's way is not in himself; Nor is it
in a man who walks to direct his steps. --And your ears will hear a word
behind you -This is the way, walk in it, whenever you turn to the right or
to the left.--Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be
established. -- He knows the way I take. When He has tried me, I shall come
forth as gold. -- Man's steps are ordained by the LORD, How then can man
understand his way?
With Thy counsel Thou wilt guide me, And
afterward receive me to glory--God, Our God is forever and ever; He will
guide us until death.

the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior --
the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner
as He walked. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also
who practices righteousness is born of Him.--Circumcision is nothing, and
uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the
commandments of God. --Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one
point, he has become guilty of all.
Not that we are adequate
in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy
is from God.--Teach me, O LORD, the way of Thy statute
Work out your salvation
with fear and trembling for it is God who is at work in you, both to will
and to work for His good pleasure.--The God of peace, who brought up from

working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ.
