November 1, MORNING

November 1, EVENING

Blessed is the man that hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

BEHOLD, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.

A continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.--In all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.--Pray without ceasing.

PROV. 8.34. Ps. 123.2. Ex. 29.42.--
Ex. 20.24. Mat 18.20. John 4.23, 24.
Ep. 6.18.--1 Th. 5.17.

His name shall be called...
Counselor.

THE spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; and shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD.
Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
The LORD of hosts . . . is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.--If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.--Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Ever follow that which is good.

FOR even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; . . . but committed himself to him that judges righteously.--Consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Heb12.1, 2. Phil4.8.

The mighty God.

THOU art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty. And in thy majesty ride prosperously. . . . Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.--Thou spoke in vision to thy holy one, and said, I have laid help upon one that is mighty.--The man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts.

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.--Thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.

The ways of the LORD are right, and the
just shall walk in them: but the
transgressors shall fall therein.

UNTO you . . . which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, . . . and a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence.--The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.--Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.--The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.--If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God.--Whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance.

He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.--Ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.--My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

The everlasting Father.

HEAR, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.

I and my Father are one.--The Father is in me, and I in him.--If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.--Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father.--Behold I and the children which God hath given me.--He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied.--I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.--Before Abraham was, I am.--God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

Unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever.--He is before all things, and by him all things consist.--In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Now for a season, if need be, ye are in
heaviness through manifold
temptations.

BELOVED, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.--The exhortation . . . speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him.--Now no chastening for the present seems joyful, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who are trained thereby.

We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.--For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.--God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able.

The Prince of Peace

HE shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endures.--Glory to God . . . on earth peace, good will toward men.

Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.--Peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all).

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.--Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.--The peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Take also for yourself the finest of spices...and you shall make of these a holy anointing oil

It shall not be poured on anyone's body, nor shall you make any like it, in the same proportions; it is holy, and it shall be holy to you. -- One Spirit -- There are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.

Thy God, hath anointed Thee With the oil of joy above Thy fellows -- God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power.--He gives the Spirit without measure.

Of His fulness we have all received, and grace upon grace.--His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.--He Who... anointed us is God Who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

The form of this world is passing away.

ALL the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
Let the brother of humble circumstances glory in his high position and let the rich man glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away. For the sun rises with a scorching wind, and withers the grass; and its flower falls off, and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away--Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.--The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God abides forever.
LORD, make me to know my end, and what is the extent of my days. Let me know how transient I am--While they are saying, Peace and safety! then destruction will come upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.

When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

I AM the resurrection, and the life: he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies --God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
The Lord Himself Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.--When He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is.--It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you --The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light --If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from Myself.--Fools will not wander on it.

Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness and for His wonders to the sons of men!

O taste and see that the LORD is good -- How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! How great is Thy goodness, which Thou hast stored up for those who fear Thee.
The people whom I formed for Myself, will declare My praise -- He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. -- That we who were the first to hope in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
How great is his goodness and how great is his beauty -- The LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works. All Thy works shall give thanks to Thee, O LORD, and Thy godly ones shall bless Thee. They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom, and talk of Thy power to make known to the sons of men Thy mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of Thy kingdom

E also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. -- All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness -- Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing -- Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. -- Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me... for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation

GGIRD your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.--Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord GOD will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken. And it will be said in that day, Behold, this is our God for Whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.

The sons of Israel camped before them like two little flocks of goats, but the Arameans filled the country.

TTHUS says the LORD, Because the Arameans have said, The LORD is a god of the mountains, but He is not a god of the valleys; therefore I will give all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the LORD. So they camped one over against the other seven days. And it came about that on the seventh day, the battle was joined, and the sons of Israel killed of the Arameans 100,000 foot soldiers in one day.--You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you. Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

I have laid help upon one that is mighty;

I , EVEN I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.--There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.--There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The mighty God.--Who made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.--We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.--Forasmuch . . . as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same.

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am.--Then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.--If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee.

Bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God

I urge you...brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect --As you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification --neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. And those who will walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.
By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples--I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask of the Father in My name, He may give to you.

RETURN O Israel, to the LORD your God, For you have stumbled because of your iniquity. Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity, And receive us graciously
Let no one say when he is tempted, I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
      Wait on the L

I walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice
Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.--In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them; and He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.
By their own sword they did not possess the land; And their own arm did not save them; But Thy right hand, and Thine arm, and the light of Thy presence, For Thou didst favor them --So didst Thou lead Thy people, to make for Thyself a glorious name.
O LORD, lead me in Thy righteousness because of my foes; Make Thy way straight before me.--O send out Thy light and Thy truth, let them lead me. Let them bring me to Thy holy hill, and to Thy dwelling places. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and upon the lyre I shall praise Thee, O God, my God.

You were washed... you were sanctified...
you were  justified

THE blood Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin --The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.
Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless.-- It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints --Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies.--How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered! How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit!

The sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret

PETER remembered the word which Jesus had said, Before a cock crows, you will deny Me three times. And he went out and wept bitterly --If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.-- The blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see. They are more numerous than the hairs of my head and my heart has failed me. Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me. Make haste, O LORD, to help me.
Return to your God, observe kindness and justice, and wait for your God continually.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.--He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds .--He has told you, O man, what is good and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?

Is it well with you? And she answered, It is well.

WE having the same spirit of faith.
As punished yet not put to death, as sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing yet possessing all things.
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body -- Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

Christ...loved the church and gave Himself up for her that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word

WALK in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma-- for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and abiding word of God.
Sanctify them in the truth; Thy word is truth-- Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God --not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit --Thy word has revived me.
The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul. The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
