The fruit of the Spirit is...self-control |
VERYONE who competes
in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to
receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such
a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air but I
buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to
others, I myself should be disqualified.
Be not get drunk with wine, for that is
dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit
If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Let us not sleep as others do, but let us be
alert and sober. For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those
who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we are of the day, let us be
sober --Deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly,
righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and
the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus

Grow up in all
aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ |
IRST the blade, then
the head, then the mature grain in the head -- Until we all attain to the
unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man,
to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ.
They measure themselves by themselves, and compare
themselves with themselves, they are without understanding... but he who
boasts, let him boast in the Lord, for not he who commends himself is
approved, but whom the Lord commends.
The substance belongs to Christ. Let no one keep
defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship
of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without
cause by his fleshly mind and not holding fast to the head, from whom the
entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments,
grows with a growth which is from God.
Grow in grace and the
knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to
a solitary land and he shall release the goat in the wilderness. |
S far as the east
is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us --In
those days, and in that time, declares the LORD, search will be made for
the iniquity of Israel, but there will be none; and for the sins of Judah,
but they will not be found; for I shall pardon those whom I leave as a
remnant --Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou
wilt give truth to Jacob and unchanging love to Abraham, which Thou didst
swear to our forefathers from the days of old.
All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own
way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him --He
will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the
great, and He will divide the booty with the strong; because He poured out
Himself to death, and was numbered with the transgressors. Yet He Himself
bore the sin of many, and interceded for the transgressors -- Behold, the
Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world!

Who regards you as
superior? And what do you have that you did not receive? But if you
did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? |
Y the grace of God I
am what I am.--In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word
of truth --it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but
on God who has mercy --Where is boasting then? It is excluded.--Christ Jesus...became
to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and
redemption... He him who boasts, boasts in the LORD.
You you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which
you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the
prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the
sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of
our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by
nature children of wrath, even as the rest --Ye are washed, . . . ye are
sanctified...you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the
Spirit of our God.

To Him who loves us, and released
us from our sins by His blood |
ANY waters waters
cannot quench love, nor will rivers overflow it. Love is as strong as
death --Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for
his friends.
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to
sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed --In Him
we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses,
according to the riches of His grace,
You
are washed... you are sanctified... you were justified in the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God --You are A CHOSEN RACE, A
royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, that
you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of
darkness into His marvelous light --I urge you... brethren by the mercies
of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to
God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

There are
varieties of ministries and the same Lord |

the storehouses in the country... Ezri ...had charge of the
agricultural workers...Shimei ...had charge of the vineyards and Zabdi
...had charge of the produce of the vineyards... all these were
overseers of the property which belonged to King David
God has appointed in the church, first apostles,
second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of
healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues...but one
and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one
individually just as He wills.
As each one has received a special gift, employ
it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of
God. Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God;
whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies;
so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to
whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

OT unto us, O LORD,
not unto us, but to Thy name give glory.--Lord, when did we see You

mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself --
Clothe yourselves with humility
Jesus

garments became as white as light --All who were sitting in the Council
saw his face like the face of an angel --The glory which Thou hast given
Me I have given to them --We all, with unveiled face beholding as in a
mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image
from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit

From
Manasseh also some defected to David...and they helped David against the

Jacob said
let us arise and go up to Bethel and I will make an altar there to God,

I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications because He

Yet in a very little while, He Who is coming will come and will not

Record the vision And inscribe it on
tablets, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the
appointed time. It hastens toward the goal, and it will not fail. Though it
tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.
Do not let this one fact escape your notice,
beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand
years as one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count
slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for
all to come to repentance --Thou, O Lord,
art a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in
lovingkindness and truth -- Oh, that Thou wouldst rend the heavens and come

Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, Yes,
Lord. Then He touched their eyes, saying, Be it done to you according to

I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, and the

wealth to the discerning, nor favor to men of ability; for time and chance
overtake them all --The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs

Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the
eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes look to the LORD
our God --Teach me the way in which I should walk; for to Thee I lift up
my soul.

O Lord GOD
. . .with Thy blessing may the house of Thy servant be

O LORD, hast blessed, and it is blessed forever.--It is the blessing of the
LORD that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.
Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more
blessed to give than to receive --When you give a reception, invite the
poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, since they
do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the
resurrection of the righteous.
-- Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for
you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave Me
something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger,
and you invited Me in, naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you
visited Me.

HO shall separate us

overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more
that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who after
He has killed has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!
Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men cast insults
at you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on
account of Me. Rejoice, and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great, for
so they persecuted the prophets who were before you --I do not consider my
life of any account as dear to myself, in order that I may finish my course,

of the gospel of the grace of God -- I will speak of Thy testimonies before

ESUS...lifting up His

your God --You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus --You have
not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have
received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, Abba! Father! The
Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
Because you are sons, God has sent forth the
Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba! Father! Therefore you are
no longer a slave, but a son
Truly, truly, I say to you, if you shall ask the Father for anything, He
will give it to you in My name. Until now you have asked for nothing in My
name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
And I will welcome you. And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons

promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and

the blood of His cross -- Lovingkindness and truth have met together.
Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
I know the plans that I have for you declares the LORD, plans for welfare
and not for calamity -- Come now, and let us reason together, says the
LORD, Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.
Who is
a God like unto thee, Who pardons iniquity?
Yield now and be at peace with Him --Work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good
pleasure. -- LORD, Thou wilt establish peace for
us, since Thou hast also performed for us all our works.

N the days of those
kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed,
and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put
an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever --A stone
was cut out without hands.--Not by might,
nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of
hosts.--The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed nor will
they say, Look, here it is! or, There it is! For behold, the kingdom of God
is in your midst.
To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil and goes to
bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts up and grows-- how, he
himself does not know. But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the
sickle, because the harvest has come.
Be ready too; for the Son of Man is coming at an
hour when you do not think He will.
The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let the
one who hears say, Come.

From the first day that you set
your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your
God, your words were heard |
HUS
says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, I
dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of
spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart
of the contrite --The sacrifices of
God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou
wilt not despise.--Though the LORD exalted, yet He
regards the lowly; But the haughty He knows from afar -- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he
may exalt you at the proper time.--God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to
the humble. Submit therefore to God.
Thou, Lord,
art good, and ready to forgive; and abundant in lovingkindness to all
who call upon Thee. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; and give heed to the
voice of my supplications! In the day of my trouble I shall call upon
Thee, for Thou wilt answer me.

Thy will be done, On earth
as it is in heaven |
NDERSTAND what
the will of the Lord is.
It is not the will of your Father who is
in heaven that one of these little ones perish.
This is the will of God, even your
sanctification.-- So as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer
for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. --In the exercise of His will
He brought us forth by the word of truth, Therefore putting aside all
filthiness and all that remains of wickedness
You shall be holy; for I am holy.--Jesus
said, whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother
-- Everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be
compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. And the rain
descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that
house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock.--The world
is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God
abides forever.

Christ died
and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the
living. |
T pleased the LORD to crush Him, putting Him to
grief; if He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His
offspring, He will prolong His days, and the good pleasure of the LORD
will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will
see it and be satisfied; by His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant,
will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities -- Was it not
necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His
glory? --Having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;
and He died for all, that they who live should no longer live for
themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
Let all the house
of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ--
this Jesus whom you crucified -- He was foreknown before the foundation of
the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who
through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave
Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
