The Book of Ecclesiastes Explained

THE BOOK OF ECCLESIASTES EXPLAINED

BY JAMES M. MACDONALD, D.D., PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY

It is not the Expectation of living that makes Men infer the Reasonableness or Necessity of a Judgment, but the reasonableness and natural Expectation of Judgment which makes them infer the Necessity and Reality of a future Life.—SHERLOCK’S SERMONS, vol. i., p. 195.

Ecclesiastes 5 Commentary

NOTE: This "VERSE BY VERSE COMMENTARY" page is part of an ongoing project to add notes to each verse of the Bible. Therefore many verses do not yet have notes, but if the Lord tarries and gives me breath, additions will follow in the future. The goal is to edify and equip you for the work of service (Eph 4:12-13) that the Lord God might be glorified in your life...

Wisdom - Chokmah

But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
