Psalms and Songs

Introduction - This page will feature psalms linked to songs that use the words of the psalm. Years ago I had a CD (some of you may not know what a CD is!) that was a compilation of psalms associated with songs and it was absolutely wonderful. Sadly I lost the CD and have never found anything quite like it, so I decided to do my own version. This will be an ongoing project and there will be no attempt to find songs matching every psalm. If you know of some songs that use the words of a specific psalm, please let me know. Thank you.

The links below are to 365 brief, pithy and practical devotionals on the Psalms by Dr Warren Wiersbe.  This is an excellent resource for ideas and quotes if you are preaching or teaching the Psalms. I know one man who is using these devotionals daily in discipling his daughters. The links below are the old links so they might open somewhat slower. Be patient.

Psalm 118 Commentary

NOTE: This Verse by Verse Commentary page is part of an ongoing project to add notes to each verse of the Bible. Therefore many verses do not yet have notes, but if the Lord tarries and gives me breath, additions will follow in the future. The goal is to edify and equip you for the work of service (Eph 4:12-13-note) that the Lord God might be glorified in your life and in His Church. Amen (Isa 61:3b, Mt 5:16-note)
