PRECEPT BIBLE STUDY CLASSES  Fall, 2025  AUSTIN & CENTRAL TEXAS FOR OTHER CLASSES NOT ON THIS PAGE CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS ON 184 ONLINE CLASSES Because there are now almost 200 Precept classes online you don't have an excuse to not dig deeper into the Word of Life! Read Deuteronomy 32:46-47+ to see how vital the Word of Life was for the 2nd Generation of Israelites who were preparing to enter the Promised Land and lay hold of God's bountiful promises by waging physical warfare against the Canaanites. The same principle applies to each disciple of Jesus, for we are all involved in spiritual warfare (whether we recognize it or not!) and the same living and active Word of Truth, the Sword of the Spirit (Eph 6:17+) MUST (not optional) be taken into our minds and hearts to allow us to  lay hold of His glorious promise in Ephesians 1:3+ where our Father has "blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ." Dependence on His Word of Truth and His Spirit of Truth are the secret (See Filled with the Spirit and filled with the Word) which will allow each of us to experience the abundant life in Christ (Jn 10:10b+). If Paul were here today, he would exhort each of us to "Redeem the time, for the days are evil." (Ephesians 5:16+). Peter adds "that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence." (2Pe 1:3+). So what is the key to tapping into "everything pertaining to life and godliness?" Peter says it is "through the true knowledge of Him." If you are not in the Word of God (cf Jn 1:1+, Rev 19:13b+), how can you gain the true knowledge of Christ? That's clearly rhetorical. Failure to regularly take in His Word will prevent you from laying hold of everything you need for "life and godliness." Finally, Peter exhorts us "like newborn babies, long for (same word Ps 42:1) the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation." (1 Peter 2:2+) Don't miss the crucial term of purpose or result, so that! 1 Peter 2:2 is one of the most important verses in the Bible regarding our growth in Christlikeness (progressive sanctification). Failure to regularly imbibe pure milk (e.g., as in Precept Bible studies), will stunt your spiritual growth and make you an easy target for our inveterate enemies, the world, the flesh and the devil! And if you say you do not have a longing for pure milk, do a personal inventory using 1 Peter 2:1+ to see why you may not have an appetite.  Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15+
